We are your one stop shop for all things biking in the C’ville area.
We believe biking in C’ville should be safe and accessible for all.
Bike C’ville is the result of multiple community partners coming together with the City of Charlottesville to make biking safer and more accessible for area residents, students and visitors of all ages and abilities. Local organizations, businesses, advisory groups and municipalities support and help guide our work. We lead group rides, host clinics and promote biking through a variety of incentive programs. We believe our community would be better if more people hopped on a bike.
May is National Bike Month
May is National Bike Month, promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and celebrated in communities from coast to coast. Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more folks to give biking a try.
To celebrate Charlottesville Bike Month this year, local businesses and groups have teamed up with the city, along with Albemarle County and the University of Virginia, to offer a month-long series of events where people of all ages can learn about bike safety, practice skills, and simply get motivated to spend more time in the saddle.
